The Park Hyatt Bangkok hotel is a 36-story complex with guest rooms, restaurants and bars. LONDON’S COAL DROPS YARD AMPLIFIES WITH VERSATILE DISTRIBUTED SOUND – UNITED KINGDOM

At London’s Coal Drops Yard, JBL Control HST loudspeakers provide broad coverage on the upper-level walkway.

London’s Coal Drops Yard has been transformed into a bustling retail center. Integrator RG Jones equipped the complex with a complete system featuring JBL loudspeakers for both background music and in-fill for events and concert applications. “It was very important to be able to control the dispersion of the sound,” said Jon Berry, Sales and Installations Director, RG Jones. “The moment we switched the system on, it just lifted the space… It was able to target relatively loud music to a very specific area, so as not to disturb others in the space,” said David Tod, Events and Enlivenment Manager, King’s Cross.

At Ryu Bar, the rooftop terrace utilizes an array of durable JBL Control 28-1L indoor/outdoor speakers.

To ensure equally immersive sound throughout RYU bar, AM Integrated Solutions and GRS AV Solutions outfitted the main venue space with JBL loudspeakers and subwoofers and an array of JBL Control indoor/outdoor speakers. “RYU was a uniquely challenging project for us, in terms of finding ways around the venue’s low height limitations while meeting the client’s vision of a bar that transforms into a nightclub in the evening,” said Aashish Mahindru, Consultant, AM Integrated Solutions.

To provide balanced audio coverage for background music and special events, Seoul’s TechDataPS Co., Ltd. deployed JBL pendant speakers, in-ceiling speakers and architectural speakers throughout the store. “For projects like VANS Brand Showcase Store Gangnam, elevating the audio-visual experiences of visitors can be game-changing,” said HARMAN’s Ramesh Jayaraman. “It will certainly create the right atmosphere, entertaining people and encouraging them to shop.”

TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY ENHANCES ENGAGEMENT IN CAMPUS EXPANSION – USA

JBL Control 67 HC/T pendant speakers and Control Series 47HC high-ceiling speakers provide focused overhead coverage.

Texas A&M University’s Learning Classroom Building (ILCB) called for a sophisticated, facility-wide networked AV system. Consultants Avinext and Shalleck Collaborative outfitted the spaces. “We used JBL loudspeakers throughout,” said Ian Hunter, Principal and AV Consultant, Shalleck Collaborative. “JBL’s wide range of form factors and coverage patterns gave us flexibility in placement, and the speakers’ Radiation Boundary Integrator technology delivers a very even sound field.”

More than 2,000 JBL Control Series loudspeakers and subwoofers were installed in the Parklane Hotel.

The Parklane Hotel hired ALA Equipment Company to overhaul its key facilities. ALA met the challenge by designing a complete HARMAN audio system. In addition to VTX, VRX and VerTec line arrays for the performance spaces, ALA installed more than 2,000 JBL Control Contractor loudspeakers and subwoofers to give a consistent sound throughout the hotel. “This installation has really put Cyprus on the map,” said Theofilos Lakkas, Food and Beverage Director, Parklane Hotel. “Technology-wise, it ranks alongside hotels in Las Vegas.”

AUCKLAND ZOO ELEPHANT HOUSE GETS SIGNATURE SOUND – NEW ZEALAND

When the Auckland Zoo converted an elephant enclosure, it hired AV integration company Skopik to design and install a multi-zone audio system.
