In 2014, Billboard Magazine included him in their annual<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/6251199\/40-under-40-music-power-players\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0Under 40: Music\u2019s Young Power Players<\/a> issue which honors, \u201c\u2026progressive leaders reshaping the music industry\u201d and, earlier this year, profiled Aaron again in their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/business\/7256268\/2016-billboard-branding-power-list-marketing\" target=\"_blank\">Top Branding Power Players: Masters of Music Marketing<\/a> feature. Raised in a music industry family, Aaron\u2019s parents both worked for Clive Davis and met at a CBS Records Christmas party; his brother is one of the heads of radio promotions at Republic Records.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1549\" style=\"width: 252px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1549\" class=\"wp-image-1549\" src=\"http:\/\/pro.harman.com\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Harman-Award-2877-e1470762011202.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"242\" height=\"294\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1549\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photography: Joel Lipton<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Aaron joined HARMAN nearly six years ago after being pivotal to the careers of many top-selling artists of our time, including the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, Daft Punk, Kid Rock, Katy Perry, R. Kelly, A Tribe Called Quest, Blue Man Group, Queen and others. He recognized the potential of forging relationships between HARMAN\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/pro.harman.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Professional Solutions<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harman.com\/lifestyle-audio\" target=\"_blank\">Lifestyle Audio<\/a> brands and the artists, athletes and celebrities who use them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was excited to take what I learned and experienced at places like Virgin Records, Atlantic Records, MTV, Disney Music Group and Jive Records, and apply those resources at a company as huge and iconic as HARMAN,\u201d said Aaron. He now uses that industry know-how to secure high-profile talent and entertainment opportunities\u2014ranging from Coachella to the Grammys to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame\u2014that enhance brand awareness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s about introducing the influencers to HARMAN and HARMAN to them\u2014like Elton John performing for us at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) or having Pitbull and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mDZcz-V29_M\" target=\"_blank\">Distortion of Sound documentary<\/a>. It\u2019s about bringing Tiesto and Lang Lang into the family and having Jennifer Lopez endorse our HARMAN Kardon products,\u201d he said. \u201cThese artists draw attention to our brands and help us achieve even greater success.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1552\" style=\"width: 355px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1552\" class=\"wp-image-1552\" src=\"http:\/\/pro.harman.com\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_1486.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"345\" height=\"259\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1552\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Elton John performs at HARMAN&#8217;s 2016 CES event<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Peering into the future, Aaron hopes to further narrow the gap between HARMAN and the mainstream music industry. \u201cWe\u2019re just\u00a0scratching the surface of marrying who we are in the pro audio world, which is beyond legendary, and really letting consumers know our story. I\u2019d like there to be a JBL Records in which we would bring in a distributor and a label and have our own imprint; it would send a tremendous message to the music community and consumers. I also think it may be time that JBL produce its own music festival, using all of our great gear, of course.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When not immersed in deal making, Aaron\u2019s favorite pastime is spending time with his seven-year-old daughter and five-year-old son. \u201cI love hanging out with them. They\u2019re literally learning how to shoot a basketball and ride bikes. My son has a good arm, so I\u2019m teaching him how to throw, and I recently took my daughter to see Taylor Swift, which she loved,\u201d he<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1550 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/pro.harman.com\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_0187-e1470762745149.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"255\" height=\"200\" \/> said.<\/p>\n<p>Aaron also serves on the West Coast Board of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tjmartell.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">T.J. Martell Foundation<\/a>, a leading music industry organization that raises money for leukemia, cancer and AIDs research.
