Exclusive Live Event Series Offers Advice on Music Business and Production from QUIX, Morgan Page, Audien, Vincent and More<\/h3>\n

In January, we launched the new JBL Master Class<\/a> live event series. Aimed to inspire and educate music creators everywhere through close-knit conversations, the Master Class series features leading producers who discuss the creative process, production secrets, tips for making innovative records, and advice on navigating the music industry. The program is run by Aasheesh Paliwal, Manager of Influencer Marketing Programs, for HARMAN Professional, and features a different rising artist each month. Attendees enjoy an intimate 60-minute discussion and demonstration followed by a 30-minute Q&A session, a personal meet-and-greet and a photo-op. Each event features limited seating to ensure a personal atmosphere where established artists and aspiring artists can meet on a level playing field.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe main goal of the JBL Master Class program is to create an environment where rising artists can share their personal experience, production tricks, and tips about their creative process,\u201d said Paliwal. \u201cThe artists that we’ve been working with are electronic music or hip-hop producers, so they have a pretty robust technical understanding of the engineering side of how to make music. It really gives fans of these artists\u2014who are aspiring producers, electronic artists or hip-hop artists themselves\u2014the opportunity to come in and learn directly from people that they look up to.\u201d<\/p>\n

JBL Master Class recently featured rapper and producer Kirk Knight at the HARMAN Store in New York City. Best known for his work with Nyck Caution, A$AP Ferg and Joey Bada$$, Knight\u2019s debut album, Late Night Special<\/em>, broke into the Billboard<\/em> charts shortly after it was released in 2015. Knight recently finished touring the country with rap collective Flatbush Zombies and fellow Pro Era member Nyck Caution.<\/p>\n

QUIX
\n<\/strong>The first JBL Master Class event kicked off in Los Angeles with QUIX, a trap and bass DJ from New Zealand. Best known for his collaboration with Boombox Cartel, \u201cSupernatural”, QUIX has also gained the support of top-tier DJs including Skrillex, RL Grime, Major Lazer and more. During the event, QUIX talked about his approach to creating original tracks, and how to brand yourself as an artist.<\/p>\n

MORGAN PAGE
\n<\/strong>Morgan Page is a GRAMMY\u00ae<\/sup> Award-nominated DJ and music producer, known for hits like \u201cThe Longest Road\u201d, \u201cFight for You\u201d and \u201cIn the Air.\u201d Page has remixed over 400 tracks for renowned artists such as Nadia Ali, deadmau5 and Ellie Goulding. During his Master Class session, Page discussed how he prepares for world-class festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival and Burning Man, and offered production tips from his Morgan Page Quick Tips series.<\/p>\n

AUDIEN
\n<\/strong>An innovator in the progressive trance genre, Audien is a GRAMMY Award-nominated producer who has done remixes for everyone from Calvin Harris to Bastille to Bruno Mars. His original songs \u201cInsomnia\u201d and \u201cSomething Better\u201d both reached #1 on the Billboard<\/em> charts. Audien has also been a mainstay act in Las Vegas with residencies at Marquee, XS Nightclub, Encore Beach Club and Drai\u2019s Nightclub. At the beginning of his Master Class, Audien gave advice to aspiring producers who are trying to find their sound.<\/p>\n

VINCENT
\n<\/strong>With millions of plays on SoundCloud, Vincent has established himself as a trendsetter in the trap and future bass genres at just 23 years old. After making his debut in 2015 with remixes of Meek Mill and Drake’s \u201cR.I.C.O.\u201d and Alison Wonderland’s \u201cU Don’t Know,\u201d Vincent released a trio of genre-bending summer anthems with \u201cAnax,\u201d \u201cHer\u201d and “Breathe.” For his Master Class session, Vincent gave advice on how to get your music heard and grow your brand.<\/p>\n
