Earlier this month, HARMAN showcased its portfolio of industry-leading audio, video, lighting and control solutions at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 1018. ISE is the professional AV industry’s largest tradeshow, with a record-breaking 80,000+ visitors attending the show this year. According to ISE Managing Director Mike Blackman, this was a 10% increase over last year’s attendance.

HARMAN had a major presence at the show again this year, and the visitor traffic to the stand each day was bustling. Throughout the four days, guests flooded into the stand, eager to see HARMAN’s innovative solutions and exciting new products.

In the Huddle Space area, customers were eager to check out AMX Acendo products in action. The AMX Acendo Core, Acendo Book, and Acendo Vibe, which just began shipping, drew constant crowds and demonstrated how customers could improve collaboration in huddle spaces and other small conference rooms.

The Networked AV area was also a major draw. With over 10 years of experience and over 50 products in its networked AV portfolio, HARMAN is the industry’s undisputed leader when it comes to video over IP, and the wide range of AMX networked AV products and solutions were on display. Customers were particularly interested in seeing the AMX N2400 Series encoders and decoders in action, HARMAN’s 4K60 4:4:4 over 1GB networked AV solution.

Nearby, the Boardroom space was another area of excitement. Customers continued to show intense interest in technologies that could improve these important and complex meeting spaces, including the AMX Incite All-in-One Digital Presentation System, AMX Modero X Retractable Touch Panel and the newly announced BSS DCP-555 Conferencing Processor that combines high-end audio processing with simple template-based configuration.

For Higher Education customers, the AMX N7142 Presentation Switcher was the highlight. HARMAN demonstrated how this networked AV switcher is a perfect fit for active learning environments, with the AMX N7142 in the teacher lectern and a sample student pod, featuring AMX N2300 Series encoders and decoders. For more information about this solution, check out our white paper, “The Role of the Network in Flipped Classrooms.”

In the Large Venue space, customers poured in to learn how an integrated audio, video, lighting and control system could craft meaningful experiences for guests in sports venues and other large spaces, while remaining easy to implement and manage over the network. Product highlights in this area included the newly announced JBL VLA Compact line array speakers, as well as BSS Soundweb London audio processors, Crown DriveCore Install amplifiers, Martin RUSH moving heads and AMX networked AV encoders and decoders.

Another high interest area of the stand was Architectural Lighting. HARMAN showed off a number of Martin lighting solutions designed to light up and enhance the architecture of any building. This area featured Martin VDO Fatron and VDO Dotron LED video products, as well as Martin exterior projectors.

Of course, these were just a few of the many showcase areas in HARMAN’s ISE 2018 stand. Other areas included the Broadcast area, featuring the Studer Micro Series, the Connected Hotel area exhibiting the new JBL Pro SoundBar, and the Connected Retail area, featuring integrated audio, video, lighting, and control, as well as a Bar/Café area and Martin VDO Face 5 and Samsung Video Wall demos.

HARMAN debuted several new products at the show, including:

JBL Pro Soundbar This commercial-grade soundbar was specifically designed for hotel guestrooms and cruise ship staterooms. With an optimized feature set targeting the unique requirements of these applications, the Pro SoundBar reduces the cost and complexity found in consumer-grade soundbars while providing excellent sound quality, security, and reliability.

BSS DCP-555 Conferencing Processor a conferencing processor designed just for meeting spaces, the DCP-555 leverages BSS’s industry-leading audio processing technology to provide intelligent sound management and automated mixing in a template-based solution that can be configured from a web browser.

JBL VLA Compact Line Array Featuring the long-throw capabilities of the industry-leading JBL VLA Series in a more compact line array solution, the VLA Compact offers out-of-the-box IP55-rated weather protection and a fiberglass enclosure for stadiums and arenas and any other project in need of compact, high-powered line arrays.

AMX 4K60 4:4:4 Enova DGX Input & Output Cards These new input and output cards for the AMX Enova DGX 100 Series leverage the full power of HDMI 2.0 and bring truly uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4 video and support for the latest HDCP 2.2 compliant sources to AMX Enova DGX enclosures, for 4K resolutions with the smoothness of a 60Hz refresh rate without compression or chroma subsampling.

AMX N2400 Series 4K60 Windowing Processor The AMX NMX-WP-N2410 4K60 4:4:4 Windowing Processor provides 4×1 windowing/tiling of N2400 Series Video over IP sources. The NMX-WP-N2410 is capable of handling multiple real-time 4K60 networked AV streams with no video input or output connectors using only a single network port.
