Emmanuel Baptist Church hosts three worship services each Sunday and activities that serve a broad range of adults, youth, students and other groups in the community. The church’s pastor is known for delivering passionate sermons and wanted to be heard by the entire congregation, even when he whispers.
The church was overdue for an upgraded audio system. It selected a system featuring HARMAN’s Crown, BSS Audio and JBL components to meet the needs of its contemporary worship environment. Under the direction of Springfield, Missouri integrator, Paragon 360, Emmanuel deployed VerTec VT4886 subcompact line array elements, VT4883 dual-12-inch subcompact arrayable subwoofers, JBL STX828S subwoofers, AC28/26 compact 2-way loudspeakers, AC25 ultra-compact loudspeakers and STX812M 12-inch stage monitors. The sound is powered by Crown I-Tech 12000HD amplifiers, Crown DCi Series 4/600 amplifiers and DCi 2/600 amplifiers. The amps and speakers are networked, using a BSS BLU-160 Soundweb London Signal Processor with BLU Link in conjunction with a BLU-BOB breakout box output expander.
“The rig sounds great and everyone is really happy with the performance. We truly realized our goal of transforming the space for a new generation of church goers.” – Mark Coble, Paragon 360
