Italian singer-songwriter Fulminacci has built a following through his blend of indie pop and contemporary songwriting, progressing from sold-out club performances and festival appearances to larger concert venues across Italy. With the launch of his PALAZZACCI TOUR 2026, his first arena tour, the production required an audio system capable of delivering consistent coverage, vocal clarity and musical balance across arena-sized venues. For the Florence performance at Nelson Mandela Forum, audio production company Sonique S.r.l. partnered with distributor Exhibo to introduce the JBL Professional VTX A12 line array system to the Italian arena touring market. The deployment required a system that could maintain tonal consistency and sufficient headroom while supporting the compressed setup and teardown schedules of arena touring.
Working with Exhibo, Sonique S.r.l. deployed a JBL Professional VTX A12 line array system designed to deliver uniform coverage throughout Nelson Mandela Forum, from the front rows to the rear seating areas. The system's controlled horizontal and vertical dispersion provided the tonal balance and clarity required for Fulminacci's vocal-driven performances while maintaining consistent output across the arena.
"The VTX A 12 is a line-array system designed for high-end touring applications, and the field test in Florence allowed us to appreciate its tonal characteristics up close," said Marco Rimondo, PA Engineer at Sonique S.r.l.. "The system stands out for its more linear and soft timbre signature, without sacrificing the crystalline purity of the medium-high frequencies."
The VTX A12 system also provided the dynamic headroom required for the production's changing musical demands. With sound pressure levels reaching approximately 100 dB at the front-of-house mix position, the amplifier system maintained nearly half of its available power in reserve, allowing the team to accommodate musical peaks without compromising tonal consistency.
Beyond audio performance, the VTX A12's rigging design supported efficient assembly and dismantling throughout the tour. The streamlined deployment process reduced the time required for load-in and load-out, allowing the Sonique S.r.l. crew to focus on system tuning and coverage optimization between performances.
"One of the aspects we appreciated most was how simple and fast the VTX A12 was to assemble and dismantle," said Marco Rimondo, PA Engineer at Sonique S.r.l.. "On an arena tour, where load-in and load-out schedules are often very tight, reducing time spent rigging gives us more time to fine-tune the system and focus on other aspects of the production."
The JBL Professional VTX A12 system delivered consistent coverage, vocal clarity and tonal balance throughout Fulminacci's performance at Nelson Mandela Forum, marking the system's first deployment on an Italian arena tour. Its available headroom supported the dynamic range of the production while maintaining sound quality at approximately 100 dB at the front-of-house position.
"Bringing the VTX A12 into our inventory as the first Italian arena tour deployment reflects our commitment to providing artists with audio systems that meet today's touring standards without sacrificing operational efficiency," said Ennio La Ferla of Exhibo. "Marco Rimondo and the Sonique S.r.l. technical team validated the system under real touring conditions, demonstrating both its sound quality and ease of use as we look toward future arena productions."
By combining consistent audio performance with efficient rigging and deployment, Sonique S.r.l. and Exhibo demonstrated the JBL Professional VTX A12's capabilities in an Italian arena touring environment. The Florence performance established a foundation for future deployments, providing production teams with a system designed to meet the acoustic and operational requirements of arena-scale live performances.
