Located within Jakarta’s Thamrin Nine development, Q Billiard & Spincity at Agora Mall was designed as a multi-zone entertainment venue combining a billiards lounge and bowling alley. Each space presented distinct acoustic challenges, with varying noise levels, open layouts and continuous guest movement requiring controlled, consistent sound. The venue needed a system that could maintain clarity for background music and announcements while allowing independent control across zones without disrupting conversation or gameplay.
Working with Mega Kapuas Multiniaga, PT and Inti Megah Swara, PT, the team deployed a Harman Professional audio system built around JBL C29AV-1 Surface-Mount Speakers for full-range coverage, supported by JBL AC115S subwoofers for low-frequency reinforcement. Additional JBL C50PACK loudspeakers and JBL 2.1 soundbars were used to extend coverage into supplementary areas. Crown CDi4x600 amplification powered the system, while dbx 1260V ZonePRO processing enabled multi-zone management, with dbx ZC8V and ZCV-Fire controllers providing user control. A Soundcraft Notepad-8FX mixer supported daily operation. Loudspeaker placement and system tuning were tailored to balance intelligibility and ambient sound across both activity zones.
The completed installation delivers consistent, intelligible audio across the billiards and bowling areas, allowing staff to adjust levels independently based on activity and occupancy. The zoned system supports background music, announcements and event playback without overwhelming the environment, maintaining a balanced listening experience throughout the venue. By combining JBL loudspeakers with Crown amplifiers and dbx processing, the system provides reliable performance and straightforward control, supporting Q Billiard & Spincity’s daily operations and positioning the venue as a flexible entertainment destination within Agora Mall.
