Every summer, music festivals and mega tours attract massive crowds. From EDM to country to hip-hop, sunshine and warm weather have become synonymous with sharing great shows with thousands of fellow fans. All summer long, HARMAN Profession Solutions was in on the act, providing top-notch tour sound from JBL. Here’s just a sampling of some of the great festivals and tours that featured HARMAN products.
Summer started early with a searing performance by supergroup, the 123GO! Project at Spring Back to Vail, an annual event celebrating the end of the winter season. The group is comprised of Stefan Lessard from Dave Matthews Band, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam and Brett Scallions and Kenneth Schalk from Fuel. We were proud to be on-hand with 18 JBL VTX V20 line array cabinets and 12 JBL VTX G28 subwoofers for a rocking set at the Colorado concert. The performance was made all the brighter with Martin lighting.
Also in April, DJ ZEDD hosted a star-studded benefit for the ACLU at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
As the summer season took off in full force, the JBL VTX V25 line array was there to share the music at mega raves like Secret Solstice in Iceland, and Emporium and Dreamfields in the Netherlands. Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, the Electric Daisy Carnival deployed our new JBL VTX A12 line array.

At the 50th annual Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin more than 800 bands performed for close to one million attendees. Clearwing Productions hung VTX A12 line arrays on three festival stages.

One of the summer’s top tours featured Pitbull, mixed by front of house engineer Wil Madera, and Enrique Iglesias, who was mixed by Brad Divens.
My favorite VTX quote of the summer came from Wil Madera who said, “I love the VTX. It’s one of my first picks. Why? Because of the clarity, the punch and the warmth that it translates. It’s like mixing in a gigantic studio.”

A major summer event in India was Justin Bieber’s first ever concert in Mumbai. The show was part of Bieber’s 16-month Purpose World Tour and relied on a JBL VTX25ll system.
Finally, all summer long, a brilliant series of shows deployed the JBL VTX20 system at the historic War Memorial Auditorium in downtown Nashville.
